A PUBLIC INQUIRY (PI) into BM Logistics has been adjourned for six months to allow VOSA to carry out a fresh maintenance investigation into the irm.
The hearing into the Swadlincote, Derbyshire-based irm was initially held in November in front of North Western Deputy Trafic Commissioner (DTC) Patrick Mulvenna.
It followed an initial maintenance investigation into the business after a prohibition notice was issued against one of its vehicles.
After receiving the new maintenance report, the DTC will decide whether it is appropriate to deal with the matter at a further inquiry or issue the irm with a formal warning.
Meanwhile, at another PI, North Western DTC Simon Evans rejected an O-licence application from Smiths Logistics, also based in Swadlincote, on the grounds of inancial standing.
