The Alpha tipper range —6x4 and 8x4— is available with either Cummins or Caterpillar power and both offer over 380hp of performance with low weight chassis. A particular weightsaving area is itithe rear bogie suspension, which in the Foden chassis uses a maintenance-tree rubber set-up.
While it's here, the Cummins ISMe engine, provides a frugal option alongside the Caterpillar. Cat appears to have the performance advantage.
