Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

As you'd expect from a manufacturer that concentrates on "heavy" trucks the FM9 range starts at 18-Ionnes with the 4x2 rigid, passing through the three and four-axle rigid market at 26 and 32-tonnes respectively before entering the tractor sector where it's FM9 380 is most likely to be used at between 28-36 tonnes COW. Volvo's D9 diesel is rated at 260,300,340 and 380hp and can be specced with nine and 14-speed manual boxes or 12speed two-pedal I-Shift and sixspeed Powertronic autos. As a rigid the FM9 is very much a premium distribution machine for long-haul/ double shifting work, especially between 113 and 26-tonnes. It also makes for an impressively powerlul 5x4 tipper. However, the lightweight eight-legger is best left to ultra payload-conscious carriers. In keeping with its top-weight tractor line-up the FM9 comes with a variety of day, sleeper and Globetrotter cabs with various trim packages from the standard 'fleet' to the 'comfort and top of the range 'prestige'.

Premium spec delivers driver appeal Long-haul truck that's built to go the distance with strong residuals Small engine for weight It isn't cheap!

VERDICT

As a flagship six-wheeler distribution truck FM9's a 'premium' product. Just stick to the right weight band, you can't go wrong
