Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Sharing the same cab as the LF45, the LF55 covers the weight range from 12 to 21 tonnes and is available in 4x2 and 6x2 configurations, as well as an urban arlic for operations up to 28 tonnes GCW. Like the LF45, power comes from the Cummins ISBe unit—though Dal insists on calling it a Paccar engine. In the LF55 there's just one, 170hp, rating of the little 3.9-litre four-cylinder available, and three versions— 180, 220 and 250hp —ol the larger 5.9-litre, six-cylinder motor.

LF55 is aimed at the payload-conscious sector of the distribution market with a 13-tonne body-pluspayload for the 6x2 21-tonne rigid claimed by Dal.

Stylish cab lacks some of the creature comforts offered by other distribution trucks on the market, not least by Claf (see CF65/75), and , the LF seems best suited to local operations.

Lightweight ensures good payload • Easy to manoeuvre

REASONS TO SW • Cab lacks luxury for long distance distribution work VERDICT LF best suited for light urban distribution, others preferred for longer distance
