Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Although at 56 it's olderthan most of the people who build it and buy it. Land Rover's evergreen Defender refuses to lie down and die. The past live years have seen all variants powered by the five-cylinder 105 common rail engine. The engine gives most ol the grunt of the V8 combined with better economythan the old diesels. Although a reasonably civilised engine, it's not the quietest around.

The Defender can be specced to levels undreamed of in 1948, with leather trim, heated seats. electric windows and CD players all available. Underneath the luxury though is the same unstoppable off-roader that dragged Range Rovers through the Darien Gap. Over the years, it's gained permanent 4x4, ABS disc brakes and electronic engine management, but there's no hiding the heritage.
