LT shares the same body as the Sprinter, though since the launch the two products have diverged with VW ploughing its own furrow on engine design and mid-life upgrades. Jewell of the LT range is the power line-up. The 2.5-litre five-cylinder motor which has powered the range since its launch is a cracker, complemented by the equally impressive new 2.8-litre, 158hp unit giving the Lithe ammo to challenge the Sprinter lor high-speed, long distance operations.
Extensive range of panel van options give the IT a loadspace offering from 7m3, through to a range topping 13.4m high-roof long wheelbase machine. Like Sprinter, Daily and Transit, IT has a presence in the 3,5-tonne-plus sector with a 4.6tonne GVW option. Chassis-cab options are also available.
