Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

for the Ducat°, though with the addition of a new engine offering. Currentlythe line-up consists of the common-rail 2.0-litre engine and an old-tech 2.8-litre units as used in the Relay and Boxer and modern new 2.3-litre JTD unit from Sofim. lveco': recent launch of a new 3.0-litre unit for the Daily has luelled speculation that Fiat will lake this power unit to replace the 2.8-litre next year.

Freshened by the recent update Ducato is a solid, reliable product, though fails to match the offerings from Mercedes and Renault forsheer good looks and driveability. Positives for Ducat° include decent engines and several permulatioru of roof size and wheelbase. But overall it lacks th; togetherness that's needed to stand out.

'REASONS— TO BUY

• Economical engines Plenty of sizes available • Feels dated; drive is uninspiring • Noise levels higher than expected VERDICT Not the worst in the class but several better options out there
