• LGV driving test fees will rise by up to 2% in April to £62 for a weekday test and to £80 for a weekend or evening test. The proposed rises are necessary, says the DVLA, "to recover deficits accrued since 1988 and the continued fall in demand". Some 51,000 LGV tests were taken during the 1992/93 financial year.
