The method of rotating the drum unit is by hand through worm gearing. As the gearing is irreversible, the engine being serviced can be held at any point. The engine bearers are adjustable to three positions, so that the unit may be used to simplify the overhaul of engines of different sires.

Castor-mounted wheels that can be locked are fitted to the base-frame members, and a detachable towing bar provides a convenient means for hauling the Unit to any part of the workshop. A steel drip tray and boxes for nuts are provided with the outfit.

The stand weighs 15 cwt: and the principal dimensions are: Length, 9 ft.

3 ins.; width, 5 ft.; and height. 5 ft. 21 ins.

Pritnarily designed for the servicing of heavy oil engines as used in Caterpillar tractors, it is equally suitable for other makes of engine.
