Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The Editor, THE COMMERCIAL MOTOR.

[3958] Sir,—We thank you for your recommendation of the Furniture Warehousemen and Removers Association and the Road Haulage Association.

Naturally we, being removal contractors, were rather more interested in the first-named ; however' we wrote to lboth associations; and received a reply from both. In the case of the F.W. and R.A. just a note saying that they had received our inquiry and promised to write again later. This is some weeks ago, and in spite of the-fact that we have since written reminding them of their promise we are still without a reply.

The Road Haulage Association sent us full particulars of membership and a form to be completed.

Although perhaps the F.W. and ILA. would be the association best suited to our business, we are considering applying for membership of the R.H.A. In view of the fact that your paper (which we take every week) is, we consider, responsible, if not directly for the growth of " go-ahead " associations out to further the interests of the commercial-motor world, the slackness displayed by the F.W. and R.A. is not playing the game with you.

We thank you and wish you every success; being only in a small way of business, we have not a loud voice nor the necessary culture, hut your paper has and we shall continue to support it.

J. BRADBURY,
