Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Aveling Barford has bought Transpart, the York Trailers spares operation, complete with the manufacturing rights. The Transpart name will be retained but all the stock and administration has been transferred to Aveling Barford's Grantham, Lincs base.

According to Aveling Barford's parts general manager Peter Shaw, the company is "committed to the York product range" but is "still determining the best method of serving the parts market". Although the York-owned depots have been closed, an "extensive network" of independently owned outlets still remains and Shaw says Aveling Barford aims to "regenerate the aftermarket business".
