• The Freight Transport Association is calling for a cut in dery duty in the Budget.
The 15% increase in last year's Budget has forced operators to impose unpopular fuel surcharges, it says.
FTA director-general Garry Turvey also wants the reintroduction of 100% first-year capital investment: "We are asking the Chancellor to give the transport industry the opportunity to play its full part in any economic recovery," he says.
