Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The dispute at trailer maker Craven Tasker has entered its ninth month with picketing continuing at the company's two Scottish plants, which closed in December (CM 19 Dec-2 Jan).

AEU mid-Lanark district secretary Bill Tynan says that production machinery at both plants is untouched. "We will not give up until we see a for sale sign on the door," says Tynan, who believes there is a chance Craven Tasker may resume production at the plants. Last June Craven Tasker sacked its 42 Curnbernauld workers for striking in protest against a pay freeze — in December it dismissed staff hired to replace the strikers.
