• Changes to Swiss-spec Toyotas indicate likely alterations to the UK range. As part of a package of changes including a 2,4litre catalyst petrol engine the Hilux 4x4 pickup gets torsion bar independent front suspension; the Hiace receives a new 88kW (120hp) 2.4-litre petrol unit in catalyst form to replace its 2.0-litre engine.
