SEMPERIT has added four new commercial vehicle tyres to its range offered to British operators.

Two of them, the Grip Steel and Cyclop Steel, are both intended for on/off-road work, tippers for example, but the former is designed as a drive-axle tyre while the latter is designed for steered axles.

Currently available sizes for both these steel braced radial tyres are 11.00 R20; 12.00 R20; 14.00 R20; 12 R 22.5 and 13R 22.5. Typical retail prices excluding vat are £354.95 for the 12.00 R20 and £482.60 for the 14.00 R20.

The other two, the Eurotrans and Trailer Steel, are intended for long-distance hauls. Cool running and superior tread life are claimed features of the Eurotrans, which is available in one size only — 315/75R 22.5. Retail price of this tyre is £325.05.

The Trailer Steel, as its name suggests, is designed specifi cally for trailers and semitrailers. The 15R 22.5 18 retails at £407.60.

All these new tyres are regroovable and remouldable.

Another tyre manufacturer to release news of some new products this week is Uniroyal Englebert Tyres Ltd. The MAX, MAX TRAC, and ECO MAX are industrial tyres available in extensive size range including a number of low-profile sizes in each of the three brand names.

Full details of Uniroyal Englebert's new industrial tyres, which are said to conform to British Standards regulation 2050, are available from the manufacturer's British headquarters at Sovereign House, Albert Place, Finchley, London.
