Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A safety trip is now available on Ratcliff electric-hydraulic tail-lifts as an option. The equipment which is fitted in each guide column takes the form of a ratchet and pawl mechanism which automatically stops movement of the lift platform by jamming the slide if a hoist cable breaks.

The Ratcliff safety trip operates throughout the full range of travel.
