WINDSCREENS and windows for VI' the motor industry produced at the Eceleston, St. Helens, factory of the Triplex Safety Glass Co., Ltd., will be less liable to damage and loss in transit because of an award-winning suggestion by one of the company's employees.
In future, a light, strong tubular frame will be permanently fixed to the platform containers to clamp over the glass being transported. It will replace the old type of webbing retaining straps which frequently got lost or broken. The employee has been given £20.
