rIVING evidence , in support of a Scottish operator's application for an extra A-licence van, last week, Mr. M. lioey, of a M. Hoey, Lid., drapers, Glasgow. said he would operate his own van on C licence if additional facilities were not granted to D. McNaught and Co., Ltd., Glasgow,
Mr: W. F. Quin, Scottish Licensing Authority, agreed to the request, and gave McNaught's a normal user of 75 per cent, work within Glasgow and 25 per cent. elsewhere.
Mr. R. McKenzie, for the company. said they operated 15 vehicles serving several concerns in the Glasgow area. Because of increased traffic they found it impossible to give proper service.
British Railways objected.
