ACCRINGTON bus crews, who staged a one-day strike last Saturday, were addressed by an official of the Transport and General Workers' Union on Monday night about their threat to repeat the stoppage each week. Later, the official assured Mr. H. Eaton, general manager. that the crews would be working normally tomorrow.
Mr. Eaton told The Commercial Motor that he would now be prepared to discuss new schedules with the crews. They had complained that schedules introduced three weeks ago were depriving them of up to 12s. overtime pay.
