M. AUGUST DUTREUX, president of the S.A. des Pneumatiques Dunlops, has been made a Commander of the Legion of Honour.
• MR. H. J. BALL, after more than 60 years' association with Kerry's (Great Britain), Ltd., London, E.15, has resigned from the board.
• MR. F. A. C. MANTON, Son Of MR. A. C. MANTON, managing director of Manton Motors, Ltd., East Croydon, has been appointed to the board as assistant managing director.
Ma. H. GLASSBROOK, of the engineering division of Leyland Motors, Ltd., has been appointed apprentice supervisor at the company's large engineering training centre at Leyland.
• MR, L. W. J. HANCOCK, of F. Perkins, Ltd., recently returned to hospital in Peterborough for a serious operation. He was reported this week to be making reasonable progress, although he was in a weak condition.
MR. E. C. RUFFLE, formerly managing director of Morris Commercial Cars, Ltd., who recently resigned from the Nuffield Organisation, is joining the board of Wel[worthy Piston Rings, Ltd., Lymington, as commercial director.
Ma. H. 0, S. Batocurr has resigned his position as director and general manager of Heather Filters, Ltd., and is succeeded by MR. E T. SHOPLAND. Mr. Bridcutt was recently appointed a director of Richard Crittall and Co., Ltd.
MR. LEONARD A. WOODALL has been appointed to the board of the Standard Motor Co., Ltd. In the capacity of supplies director, he is responsible for the flow of materials to the company's huge tractorand car-production plants at Banner Lane and Canley. MR. R. FERGUSON, M.I.Mech.E., has been appointed consultant director to F. Perkins, Ltd., Peterborough, with duties wider than those which he has previously undertaken. MR. A. GRIFFITHS, M.1.W.M., formerly with the Ford Motor Co., Ltd., has been appointed director and general manager of F. Perkins, Ltd MR. A. T. PRIDDLE, director and chief development engineer of C.A.V., Ltd., now occupies the position of director and joint general manager, MR. D. C. BURTON, B.Sc., A.M.I.Mech.E., has joined the company's technical staff as experimental engineer responsible for the development of oil-engine equipment and engine testing. He was previously experimental engineer of the Associated Equipment Co., Ltd.
