• Following the launch of 373kW (500hp) tractors from Renault, Scania and MAN. Daimler-Benz could be poised to join the same club before the middle of next year. Although few details are known of the German truck company's 1991 product plans, Commercial Motor understands that before next summer D-B will be making revisions to its big veeeight truck engine line-up with increases in power likely for the current 261 and 362kW (350 and 485hp) 0M442 diesels, and possibly also for the lighter 246kW (330hp) veesix used in the 1733.
