• National Tyre Service and Auto Safety Centres are collaborating in a retail venture, National Auto, aimed at "while-you-wait" fixed-price car servicing, but also serving small vans and, in the longer term, attracting some medium truck servicing business.
The new operation will be launched early next year in Ashton-under-Lyme, Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle-uponTyne and Southport.
National Tyre Service, with more than 400 branches,
operates a call-out service for FIGV fleets with 150,000 service and maintenance calls a year. Auto Safety Centres rupair over 200,000 vehicles a year. Combining their talents in this scheme will, they say. give motorists a new deal.
