• Sir Ronald Ellis has been made the non-executive chairman of TIP Europe, the parent of all TIP Trailer Rental's European subsidiaries and recently the subject of a £60 million management buy-out from the Gelco Corporation of the USA.
Sir Ronald has spent much ol his career in the motor industry, principally with Leyland Motors. He also served five years as head of the government's defence sales operation. Jim Cleary, chief executive of TIP says: "I very much look forward to having Sir Ronald with us — his wide experience and vision will be a tremendous asset."
