Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Launched in Britain earlier this year, the two tonne gross weight Nissan Vanette is already out of date in Japan. It has been superseded by a more angular-bodied version, similar to the new Mitsubishi L300, with single front headlamps, a longer wheelbase and a higher payload.

UK specification VaneIles are assembled from completely knocked down (ckcl) kits in Spain by Motor Iberica, in which Nissan holds an 834 share.

The kits are supplied from Nissan's factory in Japan, where the old-style Vanette is still in production for export only.

Nissan UK's Hamish Cardno says, "It is quite common for two versions of the same van to be in production at any one time." He strongly denies any rumours of a forthcoming model change in the UK.
