FREIGHTLINER has restructured its senior marketing and operations team with Ivor James, previously general sales manager, taking over as sales manager (home trade) and Graham Zeitlin, route marketing controller for the past four years, becoming sales manager (international trades). Robert Mason switches from the role of Freightliner's corporate planning manager to that of marketing and planning manager; John Bates, operations manager since 1978, is now operations manager (rail); and Peter Marsden, previously operations planning manager, is the new operations manager (safety and systems).

Mr Priestley was previously head of the company's Middle East facility based at Sharjah's Port Khalid and has been with HUAL for five years.

ACAS chairman Pat Lowry is to succeed Jim Mortimer as chairman of the Council of the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service. Mr Lowry is currently director, personnel and external affairs, BL Ltd.
