THE ROAD Transport Show planned for Bristol next year has been cancelled. The Road Haulage Association confirmed this last week, but said there is still a good chance of a show being held in 1983.
The recession has forced the RHA to cancel its 1981 plans, as it felt trading conditions woulc do nothing to encourage exhibitors or visitors to the Show, which was to be held concurrently with the annual RHA conference.
But an RHA spokesman saic that this in no way marks an enc to the concept of road transpor shows, the first of which was held at Brighton last year. "We are determined to have a series later," he said.
