Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A NEW distribution service using special containers measuring 2.44m x 1.98m (8ft x 6ft 7in) has been introduced between London and Manchester by Freightliners Ltd and the wallpaper and fabric company, Arthur Sanderson and Son Ltd.

The containers, three of which when locked together measure 6.1m (20ft) long, are mounted in sets on pallets which have fold-up legs for demountable operation on road vehicles.

Orders from wholesalers and retailers are received at Sanderson's Uxbridge unit and goods selected, packed and arranged in a mobile cage pallet with other goods on the same delivery route. In the evening these small cage pallets are loaded into the mini-containers which are then loaded in sets of three to go to Freightliners' terminal and then to Manchester.

Early the following day each mini-container is forklifted onto a cab-chassis and deliveries of the pre

vious day's orders are made. Later the three empty containers return to Willesden as one.

It is planned that at a later stage additional containers from Sanderson's Gosport factory via Willesden to Manchester and later to other parts of the country will he delivered as circumstances dictate.
