• Tachographs on lorries would seriously discourage the "lunatic fringe" which exists among employers as well as employees, in the road transport industry. Mr. Noel Wynn. Road Haulage Association chairman, told RHA West Midland area members at their annual dinner last evening.
For our part, nationally" said Mr. Wynn 'we are, and always have been ready and willing to talk this matter out round the table and to work out sensible guide-lines upon which hauliers and regional trade union officials can be advised as to how increased productivity is to be measured and rewarded in the pay packets.'
