A SPEED-UP of express coach services Ft operated between North West England and London by RibbleiStanderwick/Scout came into operation last Sunday, following the opening of a continuous 87-mile stretch of M6 motorway. Nearly two hours' running time has been cut from the average journey times.
The services have been arranged so that the numerous stopping points in the north west are retained, and one journey or another provides a service to towns by-passed by the motorway wit by-passing other towns. These chant apply to the 1963-64 winter season.
Developments foreshadowed for 15 include a delay in the departure of motorway services from 10.0 to 11.0 a.1 a non-stop journey between Preston a London on the Keswick service; all-ti year-round operation of the Londi Blackpool night service: and a day rett fare between London and certain nor west towns.
