A't the annual general meeting of Dennis Brothers, Ltd., Sir Raymond Dennis, K.B.E., joint managing director, made it known that, during the past year, an expansion in output has been experienced in all departments, each of which, by reason of efficient internal organization, is operating at a loner cost. This is reflected in mote attractive selling prices and a consequent growth in business.
As a natural outcome of the present system of taxation and speed regulation, the tendency in the past year has been for operators to purchase the lighter type of goods-carrying vehicle. In this sphere the company has been very successful with its 45-cwt. and 50-cwt. models, whilst its recent addition of a vehicle coming within the 2iton limit and capable of carrying a pay-load of 4 tons, is already gaining popularity. During the past year the company's position as a manufacturer of passenger vehicles has been well maintained, whilst its municipal department showed an increased turnover.
