Cost-savings across the business, such as reducing empty running and increased driver training are being implemented, as well as a more detailed analysis of the specs of the fleet taking place.
Norbert Dentressangle's sales and marketing director Stuart Lloyd reveals: We have looked at our trailer specs in terms of increased cost capacity. We are reshaping and right-sizing the trailers to reduce fuel consumption.
"There are a number of ways to improve transport efficiencies. We need to make sure we increase the amount of cage fill in our box trailers so our operations become more efficient. As we cut our costs our customers see their costs coming down and then we get into hew we can bring costs down to the benefit of both businesses."
