• East Ham-based Ronnie Fielding Conference Trucking bought the Master Centurion, the one-off Scania R143-500 Streamliner this week, just days after it went up for sale (CM 30 July-5 Aug).
The truck, now K-registered, will be used alongside Fielding's other eight Scanias on trips to the Continent carrying exhibition equipment and pop concert scenery.
"I'm in no hurry to pick the truck up yet, it's got to be downrated to 28 tonnes first," says chairman Ron Fielding. He bought the truck from haulier Derek Sumpter.
