• A Dublin court has bound over for three years the boss of a pallet firm found guilty of damaging six pallets belonging to GKN Chep and of handling a further 69 GKN pallets, knowing them to be stolen.

Frank Raymond of Raymond's Europallets, Dublin, was also ordered to pay expenses and to advise GKN Chep of any of its pallets on his site. Judge Hussey told the court that nobody had the right to take other people's pallets.

GKN Chep has hailed the judgement as a "significant step in the enforcement of Chep's title over its material handling equipment in Ireland".
