Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Southampton-based bus operator Solent Blue Line is joining forces with Castro] to test out a man-made gearbox oil which is claimed to reduce emissions.

They are still evaluating 14 months of trials on two 1991 Olympian double-deckers, but SBL says it has found no significant difference in operating temperatures or bus performance, compared with its other four H-reg Olympians. "The man-made product will do the job of ordinary oils, but it currently costs more," says SBL engineering manager Wally Comey. "That cost, however, might be a premium well worth paying in the years ahead."
