• Ray Smith's foot controlled tail-lift, the first British tail-lift to meet the German TuV safety requirements, is aimed at all European markets.
Three buttons, housed in the platform, allow the lift to be operated while leaving the operator's hands free to steady the load.
One button energizes the system, another raises the lift and a third lowers it. The final tilt of the platform, which rests the ramped edge on the ground, is automatic.
Lugs prevent the load from activating the buttons which have sealed mountings and wiring. A master key is needed to turn the power on to prevent unauthorized use.
Optional refinements include an interlock with the vehicle's engine starter, a warning lamp in the cab, a grab rail and faired-in lamps which flash on the edge of the platform.
