Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The Stallion group has entered the front-end tipping gear market with new displacement rams for rigids and semi-trailers.

Designed for vehicles of six tonnes GVW and upwards, the units will be manufactured at Gravesend, Kent by newly formed subsidiary Stallion Tipping Gears.

Units carry a two-year warranty on supply and fitting or one year if fitted by another bodybuilder.

STG is also developing an underbody lift for larger tipper bodies which will compete directly with the Harsh underfloor system. This is likely to use a twin ram system for the heaviest trailers.

Its front-enders work at pressures up to 140bar and feature replaceable bronze bushes in the body and chassis mounting trunnions to cater for servicing neglect. A lowering speed control valve protects the seals from shock loadings.

UK distributor Hydrocar supplies power take-offs and pumps. The lighter tipgear for up to 17 tonners has integral oil tanks; the heavy duty 17-tonners and upwards use separate reservoirs. A fabricated subframe supports both the ram and the tank.
