• National Carriers Contract Services has won a 2400,000 contract with pipeline suppliers British Steam Specialists (BSS) to provide its UK distribution with a maximum 48-hour delivery time.
To service the contract NCCS will operate from BSS's 3,902m2 Luttenvorth central warehouse hub which is linked by computer to the company's 30 regional depots.
Stock will be trunked overnight between six regional depots via Lutterworth, using eight Scania rigds and drawbar vehicles with demountable bodies.
NCCS will also provide eight drivers and vehicle maintenance, along with analysis of its distribution performance.
