A FORD "R" Series coach with the front engine inclined to below floor level is to be offered by Tricentrol PSV Sales of Markyate, Herts.
This modification uses parts from the Ford D-Series range including manifold and sump and is fully covered by Ford warranty. Although the engine has been lowered by about 14cm (51 inches) the ground clearance of the new model is improved.
The first example, which is bodied by Plaxtons, is currently being demonstrated by Tricentrol and will be shown at the Commercial Motor Show in September. Ford and Tricentrol es mate sales at around 200 next season. The additior cost is about £700.
