Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ROBERT BOSCH offers a complete range of electronic engine test equipment including three versions of the compact Motortester which are suitable for two, four, six or eight-cylinder spark ignition engines fitted

with either conventional breaker points, coil ignition or electronic ignition. Power is taken from the vehicle system with manual switching for positive or negative earth. The three testers are of modular design, with the smallest being the basic dimension.

Bosch also markets a stroboscopic timing light which incorporates a built-in advance angle meter. Power is again taken from the vehicle electrical system. Designed to fit into the pocket are the pocket strobe and pocket engine tester. These come in shatterproof plastic cases and can be used on four, six or eight-cylinder engines. The pocket engine tester measures speed, dwell angle voltage and resistance, while the strobe will operate at high or low engine speeds, • As well as manufacturing larger bench-mounted Motor testers, incorporating oscilloscopes, Bosch can also supply separate oscilloscope units, exhaust gas analysers and a petrol injection system tester. Electronic wheel alignment equipment and rolling road dynamometers are also available.
