Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

PROBABLY the best known name among diagnostic equipment makers in the UK, Crypton can supply engine test equipment for a variety of applications. Top of the range is the Dynascope, a fully equipped engine analyser incorporating a 610mm (24in) oscilloscope screen. This machine has push-button selector control and multi-pattern trace selection.

The 254mm (10in) meter is back illuminated and an overhead cable boom is fitted to avoid tangling. Other models in the dynascope range include the smaller BD130 which has a 432mm (17in) scope and fewer meters. There are three models in Crypton's Motorscope series including one which has a plug-in harness for BMW cars.

Among portable testers from Crypton are a carbon monoxide tester, an exhaust gas analyser, a vacuum/fuel pump tester and a cylinder leakage tester, the latter indicating compression conditions in all cylinders.

Dwell / tach testers which can be hand held are availa and Crypton's timing light, Solaflash, is said to illumir timing marks clearly, even strong daylight.

Brake testers are also ma factured by Crypton for vehicles from light vans heavy commercials.

The portable ignition te from Crypton, the "Auto-A ta'', enables centrifugal vacuum advance mechani! to be tested. It can also be u when adjusting carburettor mixture. The unit operates fi the vehicle's own 12v bat so it can be used on the roai well as in the workshop.

The dual scale tachom reads to 1,500 or 7,600 and can be adjusted for USE four-, sixor eight-cylir engines. The weight of "Auto-Ajusta" is 4.5 kg lb.).
