Minister for Transport Dr lohn Gilbert has announced in he Commons that he has .eviewed the deadline of May 31, 1979, for requiring the nstallation of optical headamp beam-setting equipment ind has brought it forward to lune 30, 1977.
"If, after that later date, an luthorised examiner is found :o be testing without an optibeam setter, and I am ;atisfied that adequate alteriative testing facilities are wailable in the area, that ?.xaminer's authorisation will 3e withdrawn," said the Minster.
