IMPROVED consultative procedures are to be put into action by the EEC in an effort to harmonise road plans of the nine member countries.

The Committee of Transport Infrastructure is to be composed of representatives from all the member States and they will study road transport plans at the preparatory stage and keep them under review.

Member States will be asked to give information on their road plans — especially those which involve crossing borders — and there may be financial help available for the schemes.
