Ronald G. Hooker has been made chairman of Crane Fruehauf Trailers Ltd in succession to Ian T. Morrow who has resigned in order to concentrate on his increased responsibility with Rolls-Royce (1971) Ltd. Derek R. Marsh, formerly marketing director, has become managing director and Bob Howes has become manager of the marketing division and has joined the boards of Crane Western Finance and Imperial Coachbuilders and its subsidiaries.
Robert Pitman, 29, has been appointed depot manager of the Shrewsbury branch of National Carriers Ltd. he has been office manager at Shrewsbury since 1969. D. H. Wilkins has been appointed district manager. Tottenham, of Brown Brothers Ltd. Previously district manager, Manchester and a national sales executive at Head Office, he replaces C. T. Redman who has taken up a new appointment in the national accounts section at Swindon. B. C. Ritchie is the new district manager at Manchester. R. L. Boys is appointed branch manager at Bournemouth and replaces J. Harding who has been appointed to the training department at Head Office.
James Stewart Morrison, 44, has been appointed managing director of Associated Deliveries Ltd, which operates a chain of 13 depots and 170 vehicles delivering food and other consumer products on behalf of its member companies. Mr Morrison joined Clarnico in 1953. becoming marketing manager in 1960. He was appointed to the board in 1969 with responsibility for warehous ing, distribution and exports.
W. W. Shepherdson has been appointed managing director of Key Warehousing and Transport Co Ltd and McMasters (Haulage) Ltd, Hull, following the retirement of T. W. Jackson because of ill health. N. Yapp, at present Kenning Motor Group fleet operations manager, head office, has been appointed sales operations manager, with overall responsibility for fleet sales administration, central stock, vehicle delivery and the vehicle collection centres at Fradley and Oxford. Alister Smith, previously fleet sales manager (c.v.) will take over the function of fleet operations manager. R. F. Dethick has been appointed manager of Kennings Ltd, Rotherham. Mr Dethick joined the Kenning Motor Group in 1957 at Worksop: in 1961 he became service manager at Doncaster from where he was transferred as service manager to Autoways (1931) Ltd. Sheffield, in 1968.
