• After reaching an agreement with eight objectors, Rick's Coaches, Bolton, was granted a road service licence to operate weekend tours to Belgium by the North Western Traffic Commissioners in Manchester last week.
Objections to the application were lodged by four NBC subsidiaries and four coach operators when the firm first applied to operate 18 tours a year to Blankenberge and Ostend. However, after Rick's Coaches agreed to cut the number of yearly tours by half, objections were withdrawn and the licence granted.
