A" SUBSTANTIAL increase" in pay is to be sought by London's bus workers, according to a decision taken by the Central Bus Delegate Conference. The decision has, however, to be approved by the Transport and General Workers' Union before a claim can be lodged with the L.T.E.
An advance of 7s. a week—costing the L.T.E. an estimated £.1,200,000 a year—was awarded in January.
