QFor the past three years I have had my 38-tonne tractor based at the docks. I take trailers on the ferry for delivery to Spain and I normally return with an empty trailer to the UK.
The only time I have ever been on the public highway here is when I take the tractor to the dealer for service. I have been taxing it at the full rate, but another driver told me I could tax it at the Private Light Goods rate of £100. Is he right?
