Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

QI am wonderng whether to appeal against a conviction for speeding.

I was driving along a dual carriageway at 11.30 one night in January in my Ford Transit and I did not know I was in a 50mph zone until the police stopped me and told me they had followed me for nearly half a mile. I went to court because I said I could not see the speed limit sign, however I was convicted. On the night in question, the first speed limit sign was not lit and they stopped me after this. What should I do?
