Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

With reference to the statement by Mr J. Burrell reported on page 50 (CM March 2, Management Matters), we thought that your readers would like to know that the Smiths tachograph is not susceptible to magnetic influence in the way described.

It is perhaps also worth noting that detailed chart analysis will reveal any anomalies arising by abuse of the instrument.
