• The Barcelona Automobile Show which opened yesterday (Thursday April 5) includes new models from home manufacturers, Chrysler-Spain and Barreiros as well as exhibits from 17 foreign countries. The Show highlights the growing Spanish commercial vehicle industry which produced 94,658 units in 1972 (79.437 in 1971) and the home road transport industry which operated 818,414 vehicles in 1972 (up 57,771 on 1971).
