BEFORE leaving for the South Bank exhibition, where it will be exhibited, the Coventry Climax fork-lift truck was demonstrated in Coventry this week. The four-cylindered oilengined model was shown. This can lift a 3,500-To. load to 14 ft. at a rate of 35 ft. per min. Road speed is 7.5 m.p.h.
About 70 per cent. of the trucks made by Coventry Climax Engines, Ltd., arc exported to 61 different countries, Australia and Canada being prominent buyers. It is claimed that mechanical handling reduces by 70 per ccnt, the time lost from fatigue and accident.
